What is Hubspot?
In the “good old days”, marketing departments spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on traditional advertising such as billboards, brochures and radio spots, then sat back and watched the leads start pouring (or trickling) in. If a particular campaign failed to generate prospects, the ad was analyzed, criticized, taken down and torn up. The blame for its lack of success placed squarely on the shoulders of its creators, making advertising the once volatile and cut-throat industry we’ve become familiar with on Mad Men.
Thankfully – or not, depending on your point of view – marketing has switched focus. Instead of passively waiting for clients to come to them, marketers are now out there actively working to find them, and then are bringing them in themselves. Quite a lot of leads are generated through Internet-based technologies like Google analytics, making the Internet not only a brilliant tool for users, but for business owners and marketers as well.
The Internet has revolutionized advertising by making it more affordable and by introducing techniques such as emails blasts and blogging to establish products and companies. But users are exposed to a huge number of ads each day (at least two or more on most search pages), plus there are numerous platforms upon which they are presented (think Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Pinterest, Instagram, etc.). Then add in factors like SEO and usability, and the amount of information coming in from websites at any one time from so many different directions is simply too much for the average marketer’s mind to process – or anyone else’s for that matter!
This is where HubSpot comes in. John Bonni of HubSpot says, “HubSpot is an all-in-one inbound marketing software that helps businesses generate inbound leads through SEO, blogging, social media, marketing automation, and marketing analytics. This software provides marketers all of the tools needed to drive more traffic, convert more website visitors to leads, and turn those leads into sales.”
Simply put, HubSpot is smart software that takes the most successful aspects of inbound marketing methods and consolidates them into a central hub. As an enthusiastic Value Added Reseller (VAR), we at Emphasize use HubSpot for all of our online marketing campaigns to identify leads, optimize for searches, blog and use social media.
